A Life Poured Out for Jesus. Let's Get Ready for Sunday!

I hope you’ve had a great week. There’s a lot of anticipation in the air as we move closer to Easter, and it’s a great time to lean into the Reach One challenge. Be praying for the one person God has placed in your life who needs Jesus, and look for simple, intentional ways to engage them in the days ahead. You never know how God might use a small step of faith to open the door for something eternal. And as we keep that outward focus in front of us, this Sunday brings us back to a deeply personal question about what it looks like to respond to Jesus ourselves.

In John 12:1-8, as part of our SEEN series, we witness a powerful moment of worship. Mary pours out an incredibly costly perfume at the feet of Jesus, holding nothing back. While others question it, Jesus honors it. This moment shows us that holiness isn’t about trying harder or checking boxes. It’s the natural response of a heart that has been captured by the beauty of Christ. When you truly see Jesus for who He is, surrender doesn’t feel like loss, it becomes joy.

So, here’s a question to think about this week: what would you pour out at the feet of Jesus if your heart was fully captivated by Him?

Let’s come ready to worship with open hands, soft hearts, and a willingness to respond to Jesus in whatever way He leads.

Kingdom Investor Focus

How We Depend on the Spirit

At Northbrook, we don't rely on our strength, strategy, or effort alone. Real transformation and lasting fruit come from the Spirit of God at work in us and through us. Kingdom Investors walk in daily dependence, seeking His power, guidance, and presence.

  • Where are you relying on yourself right now instead of depending on the Spirit?
