IGNITE, the children’s ministry of Northbrook, is designed to help children from Kindergarten through 5th grade discover and develop their passion for Christ.

We divide IGNITE into three separate environments so that we can engage your child with providing age-appropriate worship, Bible stories, and a variety of activities during the Sunday morning services. You can be confident that your child is well-cared for and having a great time learning about God while you worship and attend small group.

Worship is one of the most fun things we do in IGNITE world. This is a time of worship through songs, diving into God’s word, lesson-based games, and small group discussion. Kids are divided into 3 groups to insure they are engaged on an age-appropriate level in a way that’s relevant to them. K-5th graders meet for worship at 10:30 am.

Small groups are a time of intentional bible study for kids in a fun environment with their age group. Adult leaders are able to give more attention to kids as they teach Bible stories in a relevant while also teaching kids how to read their Bible and pray. K – 5th graders meet in small groups at 9:00 am.

IGNITE has three main seasons of Wednesday night activities. During the fall semester, we spend most of our time preparing a Christmas musical that premieres at the beginning of December. For the rest of the school year we have Collide, which is a super fun way for kids to get a grasp on God’s word. In the Summer, we have Super Summer Spectacular, a summer of outside activities paired with a lesson from God’s word that matches the evening’s activity.
