The Caring Center is the local mission arm of Northbrook Baptist Church.  We believe our call is to the less fortunate of Cullman and Cullman County.

We attempt to do this by introducing all others to the love and lifestyle of Jesus Christ. All Others include those who are both young and old, sick and disabled, cold and hungry, the discouraged and the disengaged.  All Others include those who have a relationship with Jesus Christ and those who do not.

We also believe in doing ministry the way our Savior taught by showing compassion to people in need.  In doing so, we are building relationships with the families we serve, being an example in both deed and word, and living our ministry in a very personal way.

The Caring Center is located on Highway 31 N in Cullman, centrally located to be a hub for the Caring Center Ministries. This location is the home of our weekly operations, where we can serve and minister to those in need of assistance in a one-on-one environment.

The Caring Center is able to give assistance in two main ways: weekly operations and special events. We are open weekly on Tuesdays, from 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM, and Thursday, from 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM. During this time we are able to provide food assistance (once every 60 days) and clothing distribution (once every 30 days; clothing items may be limited).

You must bring a picture ID and will be asked to complete an application which will include the name and social security number of each person in the household as well as the income and expenses of each person in the household.

If you are in need of assistance that the Caring Center can provide, please let us know here.

Donations of clothing, shoes, and bedding can be dropped off in the small building located in front of the Caring Center. This building is checked and emptied daily. A tax receipt will be given if requested. Due to limited space, we cannot accept furniture or appliances.

The Caring Center also offers a variety of ways to serve. From working with individuals and families directly, to sharing your faith, to meeting physical needs, if you have a heart for those in needs, the Caring Center may be where God would have you be involved. Contact Nicky Monk at or (256) 734-6401 to see how you can be a part of the Caring Center Ministries.

We also host several special events throughout the year to serve our community on a large scale. Christmas at Northbrook, Back to School Bash, and A Thanksgiving Dinner are opportunities for us to meet the needs of members of our community in big ways at times where needs are typically the greatest.
