A couple quick things as we head toward the weekend. Our Men’s Breakfast is coming up tomorrow at 8:00am; it’s always a great time for the guys in our church to gather, encourage one another, and grow together. We’re also stepping into Reach Week, which is a simple opportunity for all of us to intentionally engage with our community in a variety of ways, as well as praying for the one person God has placed in our lives who may be far from Him.
Those reminders matter because the heartbeat behind them is the same question we keep coming back to in our SEEN series: who around us needs to encounter Jesus?
This Sunday we’ll look at Luke 19:1–10, where Jesus makes a personal "house call" to one of the most hated men in town, Zacchaeus. Everyone else had written him off as a crooked tax collector. But Jesus stopped, called him by name, and said, "Today it is necessary for me to stay at your house." In that moment we see the heart of the gospel. Jesus doesn’t avoid broken people. He pursues them. Grace finds the worst sinner, floods the emptiest soul, and produces real transformation. Zacchaeus' life was changed not because he cleaned himself up first, but because the grace of Jesus stepped into his home.
Here’s a question to carry with you this week...who in your life might be closer to an encounter with Jesus than you realize?
Come ready to worship, listen, and ask the Lord to use you as a witness of His grace to someone who needs to see Him.
