Thank you, Northbrook! Celebrating Forward Commitments + Getting Ready for Sunday.

Thank you, Northbrook!

Our total Forward commitment is $3,303,027—praise the Lord! That includes the cash-in-hand Kickstart gifts of $823,062. And the total continues to grow as commitments are still coming in.

We’re still celebrating what God did among us. Watching baptisms and seeing new life declared was powerful. Celebrating this generous response to Forward was just as meaningful. More than the numbers, what stirred our hearts was the spirit behind it—surrender, obedience, and love for the Lord. When God moves like that, there’s only one right response: we keep leaning in.

Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of what God is doing at Northbrook. If you haven’t yet, you can make a pledge or a one-time gift to the Forward Initiative today at northbrookbc.com/forward ›

Moments like these always press something deeper into us. When God moves in front of our eyes, it forces a personal question, how will I respond when He draws near and I see Him at work?

It’s possible to be near Jesus and still miss your moment with Him. So think about this, if Jesus were passing by right now, would you cry out, or would you stay quiet? That matters because opportunity has a time stamp. When Christ makes Himself known, delay can quietly become distance.

This Sunday in Mark 10:46-52, as part of our SEEN series, we’ll watch Jesus encounter a blind beggar named Bartimaeus. While others tried to silence him, he cried out all the more. And Jesus stopped. On His way to the cross, with a crowd pressing in, the Son of God stood still for one desperate man. This isn’t just about a healing long ago. It’s about how Jesus responds to desperate faith right now.

Here’s a question to carry with you this week...if Jesus is calling, what would keep you from responding immediately?

Let’s come ready to worship with urgency, gratitude, and hearts that are not content to stay silent.

PS: We'll be observing the Lord's Supper at the end of the service this Sunday.

Kingdom Investor Focus

How We Grow Through Applied Truth

At Northbrook, the Word of God is not information to collect but truth to live. Real growth happens when Scripture moves from our heads into our habits. Kingdom Investors listen carefully, believe deeply, and obey practically.

  • What truth from God’s Word have you heard recently that still needs to be lived out?
