Get Ready for Sunday: God’s Positioning System

This Week at Northbrook: Sept. 5, 2025

We all like to know where we’re going and how long it will take to get there. But what if God cares more about shaping you on the journey than getting you to the destination? How willing are you to let Him set the pace?

This Sunday we begin a new series called Forged, walking through Israel’s wilderness years in Numbers and Deuteronomy. In Numbers 9, God leads His people with a cloud by day and fire by night—a visible reminder that His presence, His path, and His pace are what matter most. For Israel, and for us, the joy of God’s promises begins with daily dependence.

So here’s the question to carry with you this week: If God asked you to wait, or to move sooner than you’d like, would you trust His timing, or insist on your own?

Let’s come ready to learn how to depend on Him in new and deeper ways.

With you on the journey.

What’s Happening at Northbrook

FEATURED

the Bridge: a gathering for young adults in our community

Worship Gathering | Sunday, Sept. 7 from 6-8pm. | 214 4th St. SW, Cullman

The Bridge is a space for 18-35-year-olds in all life stages to connect where they are with where God is leading them. These years are a crucial season for shaping identity, building community, and forming a lasting faith. Many young adults drift from the church after high school—we want to be a bridge, not a gap, in that journey. Our heartbeat is to create a Christ-centered community where young adults build authentic relationships, grow spiritually, and navigate life’s transitions, from graduation to career to calling, while staying rooted in the Body of Christ.
