This Week at Northbrook: Sept. 12, 2025
Discontentment always starts small, but it never stays small. It eats away at your joy, blinds you to God’s provision, and leaves you chasing what will never satisfy. So here’s the question: what have you been craving lately that may be an indicator you don’t really believe God is enough?
This Sunday in Forged, we’ll step into Numbers 11:1–6, where Israel complains about God’s provision in the wilderness. Their grumbling wasn’t about food, it was about faith. Discontentment is a warning light on the dashboard of the soul, alerting us to misplaced trust. Only when we learn to taste and see that the Lord is good will we find the cure for hearts that always want more.
Think about this as you prepare for Sunday: If your soul feels restless right now, what might that restlessness be revealing about the fire that’s really fueling your heart?
Let’s gather this week hungry for more of Christ, not more of what can never satisfy.
