Northbrook Family & Friends!
As we head into the weekend, I’m finding myself grateful for what God has been doing in and through our church family. This Wednesday from 6-7:30pm, we’ll gather for the Caring Center Open House, a special opportunity to celebrate what God has provided and look ahead to the ministry opportunities He is opening for us in the days ahead. I hope you’ll make plans to join us.
And with VBS beginning next week, we’re praying with anticipation for all that God will do through those few days. We're excited about all the kids who'll walk through our doors, hear the gospel, build friendships, and encounter the love of Christ. Please be praying for the children, volunteers, and families who will be part of that week.
Moments like these remind me how easy it is to connect our joy to circumstances. When things are going well, joy feels natural. When life gets difficult, uncertain, or disappointing, joy often feels fragile. Maybe you’ve experienced that recently. A prayer that hasn’t been answered. A burden that hasn’t lifted. A struggle that keeps lingering longer than you expected.
So here’s a question worth considering, what happens to your joy when life doesn’t go the way you hoped?
This Sunday, we’ll continue our Unashamed series in Romans 5:1-11 and discover one of the beautiful consequences of justification by faith. Because of what Christ has accomplished for us, joy is no longer dependent on favorable circumstances. It's rooted in a new reality. We have peace with God, access to His grace, and an unshakable hope that can endure even through suffering. The strength of our joy isn't found in the stability of our circumstances, but in the certainty of what Christ has done for us.

Caring Center Open House
June 10 / 6-7:30pm
One of the beautiful ways our church family helps care for people in our community is through the ministry of the Caring Center, and we’re excited to celebrate the completion of the renovated facility together.
Join us on Wednesday, June 10, for a special Caring Center Open House. Walk-through tours of the renovated building will begin at 6pm, followed by a brief celebration service at 7pm as we thank God for His faithfulness and pray over the continued ministry that will take place there in the days ahead. Overflow parking will be available at the Fairgrounds, and shuttle service will be provided.
We’d love for you to come celebrate this meaningful moment with us.
Deacon Nominations
June 7 & 14
We will receive deacon nominations over the next two weeks. Please prayerfully consider those who reflect the biblical qualifications for this role. The insert with nomination requirements and ballot will be in the worship bulletin—make sure to grab one. List of men eligible to serve as deacon can be found in the Info Kiosks or Guest Connections. Nominations must be turned in by June 14.

Kingdom Investor Focus
How We Welcome Others In
At Northbrook, hospitality is more than opening a door. It is creating space for people to be seen, known, and loved. Whether in our homes, our church, or our everyday interactions, Kingdom Investors reflect the welcome they have received in Christ.
Who might God be prompting you to invite into a deeper relationship, conversation, or community this week?
