This Week at Northbrook: Sept. 26-Oct. 3
Sometimes the biggest barriers we face aren’t out there–they’re in here. What if the real roadblock keeping you from experiencing God’s promises isn’t your circumstances, but your unbelief?
This Sunday we continue our Forged series in Numbers 14:11–24, where Israel stood on the edge of the Promised Land but refused to move forward in faith. Fear of giants and love of comfort kept them from stepping into God’s future. Their story is a warning for us: God’s patience is not permission, his promises require courageous trust, and unbelief can quietly keep us from the very blessings he longs to give.
So here’s the question to carry into this week:
What “security blanket” are you clinging to that has become your biggest roadblock to trusting God fully?
Let’s come ready to name those roadblocks and take a step forward in faith.
PS: This Sunday, come spiritual prepared to put your "yes" on the table to live on mission for the glory of Christ and the good of those around you. Live Sent Week has reminded us of the joy of gospel partnership and the call to give ourselves generously in service. These things are an eternal investment that fuels God’s mission through Northbrook as we pray faithfully, give sacrificially, and go boldly. Sunday, we’ll be challenged to go in ministry to serve down the hall, across the street, and into the world–together. Let's grow!
Walking with you toward his promises!
