Get Ready for Sunday: Pursuing God's Presence

This Week at Northbrook: June 27, 2025

What you remember will shape what you pursue. When did you last feel deeply drawn to God, not just out of duty, but out of desire?

This Sunday, we’ll walk through Psalm 132, a song of remembrance that calls us to rekindle our passion for God’s presence. Just as David refused to rest until the ark returned to its rightful place, we’re invited to live with that same kind of holy urgency—to make God central, not just symbolic. His presence isn’t just a concept; it’s our peace, our joy, and our power to keep going.

Take a minute this week to reflect on this: How am I making space for God’s presence or have I just learned to function without it?

Let’s come ready to remember, re-center, and passionately pursue the One who’s already promised to dwell with us.

Kids Pool Party!

Sunday, June 29, 5:30–7:30pm | K-4th Graders

Make a splash with us at the McEvoy’s! We’re bringing the fun with food, games, and plenty of pool time. Bring your swimsuit, towel, and your biggest cannonball. It’s the perfect way to kick off summer fun with friends and Northbrook Kids!

REMINDER: Hey Parents! No Kids Worship in July for K-4th Graders

We’re so grateful for the volunteers who make Kids Worship possible each week. Their presence and faithfulness make a lasting impact. In July, we’re giving them a well-deserved chance to rest and refresh.

Family Fun at City Mini Golf

Wednesday, July 30, from 5-7pm

It's hole-in-one kinda fun! Join us for a fantastic Family Night at City Park Mini Golf on Wednesday, July 30, from 5-7 pm! We invite families of kids and students of all ages for an evening of fun, fellowship, and mini-golf. The event is free, and dinner will be provided. It will simply be sub-par if you're not there, so make sure you don't miss out...and bring a friend!
