Get Ready for Sunday: What Makes Your Heart Truly Sing?

This Week at Northbrook: June 20, 2025

We sing loudest about what we love most. So what’s your heart actually singing about these days? And if the joy has gone quiet, what might that be telling you about what’s at the center of your life?

This Sunday in Psalm 96, we’ll be reminded that the presence of God is what truly awakens our hearts to sing. Not circumstances, not success, not fleeting moments of happiness, but the living God, rightly placed at the center of our lives. His glory stirs lasting joy, and his nearness brings songs out of dry places.

Take time this week to ask yourself this: Have I been treating God’s presence as my greatest treasure, or just another part of a busy life?

Let’s come with open hearts, ready to pursue his presence, and let our worship rise from a place of deep, soul-satisfying joy.

We can’t wait to sing with you on Sunday.

Kids Pool Party!

Sunday, June 29, 5:30–7:30pm | K-4th Graders

Make a splash with us at the McEvoy’s! We’re bringing the fun with food, games, and plenty of pool time. Bring your swimsuit, towel, and your biggest cannonball. It’s the perfect way to kick off summer fun with friends and Northbrook Kids!

Hey Parents! No Kids Worship in July for K-4th Graders

We’re so grateful for the volunteers who make Kids Worship possible each week. Their presence and faithfulness make a lasting impact. In July, we’re giving them a well-deserved chance to rest and refresh.

Adult Luncheon

Tuesday, July 1 at 10:30am

We look forward to seeing you at the Adult Luncheon on July 1. We’ll enjoy a great time of food and fellowship with special guest, Daniel McCabe with Tour of the Holy Lands. We hope you’ll join us!

Church-wide Ice Cream Fellowship

Family Fun at City Mini Golf

Wednesday, July 30, from 5-7pm

It's hole-in-one kinda fun! Join us for a fantastic Family Night at City Park Mini Golf on Wednesday, July 30, from 5-7 pm! We invite families of kids and students of all ages for an evening of fun, fellowship, and mini-golf. The event is free, and dinner will be provided. It will simply be sub-par if you're not there, so make sure you don't miss out...and bring a friend!

Preteen Beach Retreat: Pray for our preteens!

Please join us in praying for our preteens and leaders heading to the beach retreat next week. Ask God to move powerfully in their hearts, deepen their faith, and help them experience His love in a fresh way.
