Get Ready for Sunday: Saying “I Do”

This Week at Northbrook: Nov 21, 2025

A covenant only works if you keep choosing it. So here’s the question: what are you saying “I do” to with your life right now, and does it actually lead you toward God or away from Him?

This Sunday in Forged, we’ll walk through Deuteronomy 30:11-20, where Moses invites God’s people to step into a covenant relationship that leads to real life. God brings His presence near, reminds them of His faithfulness, and sets before them a choice: keep saying “I do” to Him, or keep saying “I do” to the things that destroy them. The blessings of the promised land were never earned—they were received, lived out, and enjoyed through a surrendered heart that trusted God’s grace more than its own wisdom or strength.

Here’s something to reflect on this week: if you traced your daily decisions, desires, and habits, what would they reveal you’re truly committed to?

Let’s come ready to loosen our grip on lesser things and renew our “I do” to the One who gave everything for us.
