Get Ready for Sunday: Jesus Is Enough

This Week at Northbrook: August 15, 2025

We all chase contentment, yet it always seems just out of reach. What if the deep satisfaction we long for isn’t found in getting more, but in trusting fully in what’s already been done? Where have you been looking for “enough” and still come up empty?

This Sunday in Threads, we’ll open Hebrews 10:11-23 and see that Jesus is the all-sufficient Savior who paid our debt in full, changes our hearts from the inside out, and opens the door into God’s presence. Lasting contentment doesn’t come from what we achieve, acquire, or control; it comes from resting in the finished work of Christ and walking with him in full assurance.

Introducing the Bridge: a new ministry for young adults

Kick-off Gathering | Aug. 31 from 5-7pm

The Bridge is a space for 18–34-year-olds to connect where they are with where God is leading them. These years are a crucial season for shaping identity, building community, and forming a lasting faith.

Many young adults drift from the church after high school—we want to be a bridge, not a gap, in that journey. Our heartbeat is to create a Christ-centered community where young adults build authentic relationships, grow spiritually, and navigate life’s transitions, from graduation to career to calling, while staying rooted in the Body of Christ.

Marriage Intensive & Weekender:  Design for Unity in Marriage with Chris & Sophie Corder

Oct. 1 - Nov. 6 (6-week Intensive) & Nov. 7-9 (Weekender)

Richer, healthier, more whole marriage is available for any existing marriage. Join us as we grow in awareness of how and why God designed marriage while considering your unique design as husband or wife within yours to help build relational unity!  Registration opens Sunday.
