This Week at Northbrook: Oct 17, 2025
God’s promises aren’t passive, they require pursuit. What if the biggest threat to your spiritual growth isn’t what’s against you, but what you’re still allowing to stay with you?
This Sunday in Forged, we’ll step into Numbers 33, where Israel stands at the edge of the Promised Land. God’s command was clear: drive out every rival, destroy every idol, and take possession of what He had already given. But this wasn’t just about land; it was about loyalty. God knew that the sin they tolerated would one day control them. The same is true for us. You can’t possess the life God intends while negotiating with what He’s called you to remove.
So here’s the question for this week: what are you letting linger that God has already called you to let go?
Let’s come ready to fight for freedom and take hold of the life Jesus died to give us.
