New Sermon Series in August with a Custom Curriculum Option

In August, Pastor Keith will preach a 5-week stand-alone series called Threads:Weaving the Gospel into Everyday Life. To go with it, we’ve created a custom curriculum that follows the sermon themes week by week. This Adult and Student Leader Guide is for you and will be in your classroom this morning. Participant Guides for your group members will be available in your classroom beginning Sunday, July 27.

I’d love for you to use this curriculum throughout August, but you’re not required to. If you choose to stick with your current study, no problem at all, just let me know your plans by Monday, July 21 so we don’t print unnecessary Participant Guides for your group.

You’ll also find a copy of Gospel Threads by David Platt included. This book was the foundation for the five-session curriculum, and it tracks with the weekly sermon themes. It’s for your personal use and reference. It’s not the curriculum itself, and reading it isn’t required. We’ll have a few extra copies available for group members to purchase if they’re interested.

Our aim with this series is simple: to equip our people with a clear, biblical understanding of the gospel so they can have more meaningful gospel conversations in everyday life.

Next Steps:

  1. Read the series introduction and check out the How to Use This Leader Guide section on page 4. It explains the layout and offers tips for making the most of the material.

  2. Don’t feel pressure to use every section. Use what helps you prepare well and lead confidently.

  3. If you’re not planning to use the Threads curriculum, just shoot me a quick note by July 21.

  4. You’re invited to a brief training session on Sunday, July 27 at 8am in the choir room. I’ll walk through how to lead this material.

  5. Be ready to begin the study Sunday, August 3.

Thank you for the way you lead, care, and point others to Christ through our Life Groups. I’m praying that this series strengthens both your heart and each member of your group’s as well.
