Camp Midweek is designed to help the families of Cullman County Elementary Students during the first nine weeks of school, while Wednesdays are virtual for all students who have decided to attend traditional school. + What is Camp Midweek?

The heart of Camp Midweek is to be a resource for parents of Cullman County Students who have chosen to do traditional school, but are struggling to figure out childcare for Wednesdays, which are currently virtual for all students.

+ How long will Camp Midweek last?

Currently, Camp Midweek will run from Wednesday, August 26th through Wednesday, October 21st, the first nine weeks of school. This is subject to change as the plan for school changes.

+ What are the times for Camp Midweek?

Check-in for Camp Midweek will begin at 7:30 am and end at 8:30 am each Wednesday. All kids must be checked-out by 3:00 pm. No extended day is available.

+ Who can attend Camp Midweek?

Any current Cullman County K-5th grader who is enrolled in traditional school for the fall semester.

+ What is the cost of Camp Midweek?

Camp Midweek is FREE! If you would like, you can donate $10 per child/per day.

+ What will my kid be doing at Camp Midweek?

We have a TON of fun things planned for your kids! Check out the sample schedule:
7:30 am: Check-In/Individual Quiet Activities/Breakfast
8:30 am: I Can't Wait
9:00 am: Recreation
10:00 am: Kids Worship
11:00 am: Enrichment Activity
12:00 pm: Lunch
12:30 pm: Rest Time
1:00 pm: Playground Time
1:30 pm: Creative Art
2:00 pm: Education Activities
2:30 pm: Individual Quiet Activities

+ Will breakfast and lunch be provided at Camp Midweek?

We are partnering with Cullman County Schools to provide a free breakfast and lunch to each kid at Camp Midweek. Kids will eat breakfast and lunch in their classrooms. Breakfast will end at 8:15 am.

+ How do I register my child for Camp Midweek?

+ Do I need to register my child each week for Camp Midweek?

Yes! When you register your kid, it is ONLY good for the upcoming Wednesday. Registration will go live each Thursday for the following Wednesday.

+ Will my child be required to wear a mask at Camp Midweek?

In following the mask order in place for the State of Alabama, all children 2nd grade and above will be required to wear a mask during Camp Midweek.

+ Will the staff at Camp Midweek wear masks?

Yes! The staff at Camp Midweek will wear masks for the entirety of the camp day.

+ Will my child be temperature checked at Camp Midweek?

Yes. All children and staff will have their temperature checked each morning before being checked-in. Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or above will be sent home.

+ What is the medication policy at Camp Midweek?

Unfortunately, we are not certified to distribute any medication to your child.

+ What are the class sizes at Camp Midweek?

Classes will be limited to 12 kids. Each class will also have a Lead Counselor and Assistant Counselor.

+ Will devices be allowed at Camp Midweek?

Devices will not be allowed. Camp Midweek has a day full of activities that will keep your kid engaged and not even thinking about their devices!

+ Will kids be allowed to work on their school work at Camp Midweek?

Currently, we are unable to provide the space and Wi-Fi bandwidth to allow kids to work on their virtual school work. However, kids may bring any non-digital school work with them and work on it during the Education Activity portion of the day.

+ What does my child need to bring to Camp Midweek?

Each child needs to bring a labeled water bottle and wear tennis shoes. They can also bring any non-digital school work with them to work on during the day.
