introducing others to the love and lifestyle of Jesus Christ

Missions

Local and Foreign Mission opportunities await you...

Mission: "Literature"  - Help provide Sunday School literature to churches around the world by sorting and packaging donations from area churches. Located in Decatur from 8 am to 2 pm one day each month (TBA).

Mission: "Mentoring"  - Our female inmate ministry provides encouragement, hope, and compassion. Sharing a poem, scripture, or a little about yourself through letters and cards brightens the day and can possibly change the lives of these ladies.

Mission: "Construction" - We want you if you have any carpentry, construction, electrical, or plumbing experience. From building a much needed wheelchair ramp to making repairs on a shelter for battered or abused women and children to renovating a church...we want volunteers like you. Time and/or project is your choice. Coordinators: Don Scott and Dolphus Sellers

"Community Day" - Held each year in April through the Student Ministry of Northbrook. Volunteers for construction, preparing meals/snacks for workers, picking-up/delivering supplies, assisting with advertising, etc. to assist in our community clean-up efforts.

Foreign Mission Opportunities...

Our mission trips to the Ukraine and Peru have come to an end for this year, but for the lives that were changed when they accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, it is only the beginning.

September 2009
Report from Guatemala

Dorthy joined a group from the state to go on a Medical Mission Trip.
They dispensed over 300 lbs of medicine and vitamins, 210 pairs of eye glasses.
They could have used more of everything.  The people are very poor and very needful of medical attention and supplies.
Please be prayerful about God sending you with our next group in 2010.
