The desire of those involved in worship ministry is to "exalt Christ and encourage others".  We believe that if we seek to put Him above

Opportunities to be involved: 

Worship Choir- Worship choir is an integrated part of Sunday worship at Northbrook.  This choir functions as a large praise team to encourage all of our worshipers to sing praises.  While this group spends time rehearsing special anthems the main focus is the responsibility of those involved to be worship leaders.  If you love to sing and lift up your voice we would love to have ya! Northbrook Instrumental - Northbrook uses a full instrumental section including brass, strings, and rhythm section. Wednesday night worship utilizes rhythm section only. Audition is not required but players should be at least high school band level. OutLoud-Northbrook student choir meets during fall/winter/spring semesters and is involved in summer student activities as well as leading worship throughout the year. SURGE (student praise band)- This band leads worship for SURGE (student worship) on Wednesday evenings in the Student Center. (audition required) Extreme Trek-Extreme trek is the Wednesday night children's music and worship program.  Children have the opportunity to worship together and be involved in ongoing music programs.  In Extreme Trek your child will have the opportunity to be involved in a major production each year and be part of ongoing weekly worship/Bible study. Praise Teams-Northbrook rotates 6 member praise teams that lead worship on Wednesday night and Sunday mornings.  While those individuals might not necessarily be outstanding soloists, it is important that they be able to sing parts while leading in worship (audition and interview required)
