How can I grow?

After students get connected to Christ it is important for them to grow in their faith. The Students @ Northbrook have as one of their purposes to create a
catalyst in the lives of students that will cause them to learn about the Bible and grow  in their faith. We have twelve basic teachings that we want to
communicate to students to help them understand their relationship with Jesus Christ. In everything we do we are teaching these principles and motivating
students to greater heights in their faith.

Here are the twelve basic topics we teach as we disciple students:

Spiritual Disciplines - What are the spiritual disciplines needed for a Christian to grow?

The Doctrine of Salvation - How is a person saved and what are some important doctrines related to being saved?

Lordship - How does a person make Jesus the Lord of their life and how important is this to God?

Sin and Temptation - How does a person deal with sin and temptation?

Discipleship -How can a student go from being discipled to a discipler?

Evangelism - How can I share my faith?

Spiritual Gifts - What are my spiritual gifts and how do I use them?

Church - What is God's purpose for the church and how does that relate to me?

Worship -What is worship and how does it relate to me?

Missions - How can I get involved in the mission of the church as commanded in the Great Commission

Bible Background - How can I know more about my Bible and how it can help me grow in my faith?

Spiritual Warfare and Worldviews - How can I better understand the world that I live in and the battles Christians must face?
